You’ve been doing this for nearly 20 years. How do you keep motivated and creative after all this time?
Yeah you’re right! Almost 20 years since my first release back in ’96 on D-Boy Records. The thing that keeps me motivated is still the same reason that I started producing, and that’s the love for the music! Hardcore is continuously evolving, that brings new challenges all the time, and that’s what keeps my creativity all the way up!!!
Hard Dance has seen an exponential growth in the United States over the last few years; as a pioneer in that movement, are you proud of what it’s become?
I’m so excited to see the US scene growing that FAST! Seeing how good it is developing in the past few years makes me very proud to be part of it.
What was your inspiration behind “The Sonar”?
Since I am doing most of the gigs live, at one point of my career I felt the need to come up with something new and bring my show to the next level. I couldn’t find anything on the market what could satisfy my needs so I decided to jump into something I had never done before and build my own instrument. It took two years to develop the Sonar and still improving it!
Who is the “future of hardcore” in your opinion?
There are a lot of very talented, young artists in Hardcore. The ones who will show enough patience and passion will stay in the game and may become the future! I work close with StereoType who is 50% of Noize Bangerz and also releases on Noize Records and like being able to pass on the hardcore torch to the next generation.
If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?
In the magic city called Las Vegas 🙂
Out of everything you’ve seen over the years, do you have one most memorable thing about being in the Hardcore scene?
I have seen so many things in the 20 years that it’s impossible to pick just one particular moment. We should meet up for a BBQ & beers and I’ll tell you a bunch of great stories. 🙂
We might have to take you up on the BBQ & beers offer. Would love to hear more about your experiences. Until then, we can’t wait for you to join us September 26th for Hardstyle Arena!
